This would be excellent if it worked as well in Mozilla Firefox as it does in Windows Explorer. I used it to make Yahoo my default email handler and in Explorer it works perfectly! If I click on an email link (on craigslist, for example) it opens a new email in yahoo mail, with the correct recipient and subject inserted in the proper fields. It doesn't do this in Firefox :(

this thing has potential. i use it on windows xp and found that i still had to modify hklm\software\classes\mailto to make it work from other applications like adobe reader. i deducted a star for the dependency on the .net framework which caused me some inconvenience. the associated error messages are cryptic (the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)), you should stress this requ

It is a good tool when nothing else exist. BUT it only works with a MailTo: link on an actual web page. It does not actually change the default email program setting. So the "Send To Mail Recipient", email button in you web browser, and the email button or link on your start menu do not change and remain pointed to whatever they were before. It has great potential for improvement.

Does exactly what it claims to do. Worked like a charm in Windows 7 64-bit.
