Initialisation fails

Hi,
 
The app doesn't work on my computer. When I click an email address, I get the Windows popup: "Kan de toepassing niet juist initialiseren (0x0000135)" meaning "Can't initialise the application properly".
 
I have IE8 and Firefox 3.6.16 on WinXP Pro SP3.
 
What do I do?

What do I do: install Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5. Then it works

I am eliminating the dependency on .NET
